What is the Rossiter Technique?

Powerful two-person stretching technique for head to toe pain relief which targets the connective tissue, a head-to-toe network of fascia, ligaments, and tendons. This network of thin saran wrap like material covers and envelopes your body. In a healthy body it is not too loose or too tight but due to stress and trauma will shorten and tighten down causing pain, stiffness, and reducing the body’s ability to move easily. By lengthening and loosening the network of connective tissue, this allows the tissues to become more pliable and flexible resulting in pain free movement.


What is it used for?

This treatment is used for pain relief either from repetitive use injuries or from sports injuries but it is also useful for other types of chronic pain.


How long is a session and how many sessions will I need?

The session is typically an hour and your body will tell you how many treatments you will need. Most people find immediate relief but additional treatments may be needed for long-standing issues.


Will I be fully clothed?

This treatment does not require that you remove your clothes but you may want to wear something loose.


What is the technique like?

This technique uses counter pressure on your affected muscles and tendons. The therapist will apply pressure and
and you will be asked to make a series of moves that enhance the effectiveness of the treatment. Even though you may only be hurting on one side, you will be treated on both sides to keep your body balanced and prevent future injuries.


Is the treatment painful?

This treatment is one of the more painful treatments but it's also one with the the greatest reward. After one treatment you will be feeling a difference and you'll want to do more.
